Phosphor Bronze

Phosphor Bronze, also known as 'gear bronze,' is a high strength material. Components machined from PB1 are durable in applications with high operating loads and speeds, provided they are properly aligned and lubricated. PB1 is suited for pump and valve components due to its excellent machining qualities and corrosion resistance to seawater and brine. Kormax PB1 Phosphor Bronze is manufactured using carefully controlled continuous or centrifugal casting techniques to ensure greater hardness and strength than sand-casting methods. This also implies that the material has a fine grain structure and is porosity-free.
