Overview

Copper Nickel 969 is a high strength Copper Nickel Tin Alloy cast and Spinodally hardened.

It is a exceptionally hard material with excellent strength, high wear resistance, low friction with very good machining properties. Copper Nickel 969 is regarded as the world’s best bearing material due to its unique physical properties and galling resistance. When used correctly it eliminates warranty bearing, increases reliability and increases load capacity.

Copper Nickel 969 is cast and heat treated using a protected spinodal process to form a fine nanostructure free from porosity. The fine nanostructure reduces creation of wear debris by plowing of hard phases through soft. This minimises friction to achieve the high galling resistance.
