Leaded Bronze

Leaded Bronze alloys include the addition of Lead, Tin and Zinc to create a range of alloys suitable for bearings, gears, sliding pads and other light-duty applications. Leaded Bronzes are light-medium duty strength with excellent machining properties and good corrosion resistance. A range of alloys are available such as C932 (SAE660) which has high amounts of Lead and Tin to create good lubricity. Leaded Gunmetal Bronzes such as LG2 (C836) have a increased amount of Zinc for slightly higher tensile strength.
